The Best Garage Tiles: See our Top Pick
So here’s our pick of the best garage tiles in the market based on our assessment of the product specs, manufacturer’s claim, and profile with support from customers’ ratings & reviews.
We have researched a lot online and included some of the top products in our list after looking at product features, pros and cons, and reading customer reviews. We would also provide a buying guide to be aware of the important factors before purchasing garage tiles.
1. GarageTrac Diamond G90048GRPH, Interlocking Modular
These garage tiles are perfect for installing in your home garage. Some of the great things about using them are that they’re made of polypropylene (100% recyclable), are easy to install, and have a double diamond pattern that offers great traction.
Each tile features 16 Power locks (4 on each side) that make a strong substructure when the tiles are put together.
You wouldn’t need any tools or adhesive to connect them due to their step-and-snap technology that makes installation quick and easy.
You just need to clean your floor and lay the tiles out, connect them, and you would be finished with the flooring in a couple of hours.
The patented substructure is designed for better airflow and prevents mold or mildew accumulation due to moisture. It is shock-absorbent, which means it protects you and your garage tools and is also tough to sustain pressure.
The tiles are pretty lightweight (0.85 pounds per tile) and are manufactured in the USA under a 12-year warranty period. You can choose from 5 available colors; alloy, black, graphite, red, and royal blue.
There is no difference in dimensions among different color tiles, and they’ll fit perfectly well together.
Cleaning the tiles is also pretty easy due to its superior finishing. If you have spilled car oil or dirt on the floor, that can be mopped easily and quickly.
What We Liked!
- Double diamond pattern offers increased traction and safety
- Stain-resistant makes it easier to clean
- 5 different colors to make unique patterns on your garage floor
- No tools required to install them
Things to Consider!
- Are costly in comparison to others
My Overall Impression!
Great for people who opt for safety and grip, as the double diamond pattern allows that. A bit costly but durable and easy to use. It offers a great warranty period, and there are multiple color options to choose from.

2. Speedway 789453B-50 Diamond Garage Floor Tiles
These tiles are durable and have a similar design to the GarageTrac tiles. But instead of 4, they have 6 premium anchor locking points that offer extended wear resistance.
The diamond design is also different aesthetically but offers slip-resistance and scuff-free flooring for your garage.
You won’t have to worry about cleaning that oil, gas, or any other automobile fluid on the floor as its high-impact copolymer material makes it easy to clean.
They are designed to withstand the weight of heavy trucks and are less likely to disassemble when used.
The tiles also avoid moisture or mold build-up due to their smart design, enhancing the air and water flow beneath the tiles.
These tiles come in a standard pack of 50, covering an area of up to 50 square feet. Like the brand mentioned earlier, they are also made from polypropylene and weigh 0.7 pounds per tile.
The manufacturer has given a 10-year warranty period against defects found in the product.
You would have freedom working with these tiles as they come in 11 different colors. So try to be innovative and create the design that suits your garage best.
What We Liked!
- No tools required for the installation of tiles
- 6 mounting points increase stability
- Increased traction due to diamond design
- 11 color options are available
Things to Consider!
- It only comes in a pack of 50, so you’ll probably have leftover tiles if you choose to make the flooring multi-colored.
My Overall Impression!
With 6 locking points, it offers much more stability and firmness when put together. The diamond design makes it safe and has more color options to make your garage flooring attractive.
But you cannot buy the tiles individually, so you have to account for some leftover pieces.

3. IncStores Coin Flex Nitro Multi-Purpose (PVC)
These tiles are made from high-quality PVC, which makes them extremely durable and flexible.
You can easily clean them, and they offer stain resistance from most household chemicals.
It has a coin top and is available in three different colors; black, dark grey, and light grey.
So, although there aren’t enough color options available, you can still customize your garage floor and make a good pattern from it.
When you’re using these tiles, you feel that much of the garage’s noise is suppressed. This is because of the insulation that is created by the PVC and the absence of a substructure as with polypropylene tiles.
The rubber flooring also makes it free of fatigue to walk on or lay down. You can also use your car jack on top of it without dealing with any damage to the tile’s surface.
The company gives a 15-year warranty period on this product, so this shows the confidence that they have in the long life of their tiles.
They come in a pack of 8 and weigh around 3.38 pounds per tile with dimensions of 20.5″ x 20.5″ x 0.177″.
You can use them in your basement garage, for trade show flooring, or in showrooms.

Things to Consider!

- Problem to operate in wet areas due to no grid structure to enhance water and airflow

4. RaceDeck FF24BLAK Open Rib Design
These are high-quality tiles with 4 Power locks on each side, similar to the GarageTrac Diamond tiles.
They offer a free-flow design that allows air and moisture to pass easily and prevents mildew or mold.

The tiles are made from polypropylene and can hold up to 80,000 pounds of rolling loads.
This means that you can place a forklift on the flooring as well, without having to worry about bends and damages.
The interlocking design makes it easier for you to choose different colors and even different brands, provided that the dimensions are similar.
Within RaceDeck, you can choose from alloy, black, and graphite colors purchased in packs of 12, 24, and 48.
They weigh around 10 ounces each and are stain-resistant and slip-resistant, which increases the durability and safety of the product.

This product is great for rough environments, and it also has a free flow design that enhances airflow. The tiles are pretty grippy but not as much as the diamond-patterned ones—a great warranty period and multiple color options and pack sizes to choose from.
5. IncStores Nitro Garage Tiles
Made from high-quality polypropylene, these nitro tiles offer good value for money and are extremely durable.
They have been designed to be resistant to oil and dirt stains and can be installed quickly with ease.
You can keep heavy rolling vehicle loads on these tiles as these nitro tiles can withstand great weight.

The tiles come with a 3-year warranty period by the manufacturer and weigh 0.62 pounds each, available in 25 color options in different styles and patterns.
You can choose a coin pattern, a vented style, a diamond design for good traction, or smooth nitro tiles that give a sleek and professional look. You can customize your garage flooring with all these different tiles and turn your garage into the ultimate showroom.

The tiles are durable and won’t chip due to excess weight or rough use. They are designed to withstand 44,000 pounds of rolling vehicle loads, so that makes them pretty tough.
They are super easy to clean and are safe to use due to their slip-resistant material. A 12-year warranty period by the company also backs up the quality that it claims to deliver.
Select your favorite color tiles and connect them conveniently in your garage. They come in black, alloy, graphite, red, and royal blue colors, available in packs of 24 and 48.
You can also use them for commercial purposes like trade shows or exhibitions. Just carry them in your vehicle and put them together at the site.

7. ModuTile Garage Flooring Interlocking
Like the ones mentioned above, these tiles are also made from high-impact polypropylene with a loop-to-peg interlocking system.
They are a great solution for garage flooring that also provides an attractive and modern look to it.
The grid structure underneath the diamond-patterned top allows for water and airflow. This helps prevent the formation of fungus and other smelly and toxic substances.
You can use them in your personal garage or even employ them for commercial purposes.
Despite being lightweight, these rigid tiles can hold high rollover vehicle loads such as trucks and SUVs. They are UV resistant, and because of the diamond pattern, they offer traction and a good grip.

- UV resistance makes it durable in garages with windows or who tend to open the garage door in broad daylight.
Things to Consider!
- You cannot buy these separately; they come in a pack of 27
My Overall Impression!
This product is suitable for those that wish to avail of its UV resistance if their garage is exposed to direct sunlight. It has a diamond structure for a better grip and a substructure to help avoid mold and mildew accumulation underneath—an overall good product with 5 color options.
8. MotoFloor Modular Garage Flooring Tiles
The tiles come in a pack of 48 and offer three color options to choose from; black, alloy, and charcoal.
The black and alloy color tiles are offered combined in a single pack of 48, while the charcoal-colored tiles can be bought slightly cheaper with the same quantity.
Like others, they are made from non-toxic polypropylene that can hold up the weight of your vehicles with ease.
The structure was designed for rough and harsh environments and is resistant to oil & grease stains.
If you buy 5 packs of these tiles, this would be enough to cover the floor of a standard one-car garage.

Buying Guide for Garage Floor Tiles
Let’s see some of the important factors when purchasing garage tiles essential for you to understand.
It would be better to know how many tiles are there on the market and for what purposes they serve best.
So, there are two main types of garage tiles that you would find; one is made from polypropylene, and the second is made from PVC. There are some differences between them that I have mentioned below.
Polypropylene
These tiles are made from high-impact polymer (plastic) lightweight and highly stain-resistant, making them extremely easy to clean. It is not as flexible compared to PVC tiles but is strong enough to handle heavy rolling loads.
Underneath the tiles, a grid structure allows for air and water flow, making it ideal for those who work in wet areas. They are designed to support furniture, heavy tables, SUVs, and vans. But be careful; if you hammer the tiles or drop something heavy with force, the surface gets damaged due to the hollow substructure it has underneath.
The size of these tiles are generally 12″ x 12″ x 1/2″, and these come in three designs; diamond top, coin top, and perforated (also known as free-flow for drainage). The diamond and coin top tend to be slip-resistant, while the perforated top has more traction surfaces.
PVC
The PVC tiles have more strength than high-impact polymer tiles but, at the same time, are very flexible. These are generally used for both residential and commercial purposes but require an even subfloor. If there are any holes in the floor, the tiles will adapt to it.
Because of no grid structure underneath, it offers efficient sound insulation, which is a key benefit for those that don’t want to deal with noise complaints. They can bear more heavy loads, like even forklifts and airplanes. However, the substructure’s absence means that it doesn’t allow air to circulate, and water accumulation can become a big issue.
PVC tiles are normally 18″ x 18″ x 1/4″, and they also have three varieties; diamond, coin, and a flat top. They all offer great slip resistance and friction.
You wouldn’t be able to interlock a PVC tile with a polypropylene one because of the dimensions. If you want to customize your garage flooring, choose different varieties within the same category (like a coin top with a diamond top) and even select different colored ones to create a unique pattern.
Also, we need to look at;
Rigidity
Some tiles are rigid and not so flexible, which makes them less adaptable to the surface. This happens with high-impact polymer tiles because of the interlocking mechanisms they have in place for them. The PVC tiles straight up conform to the subfloor, which is great for even surfaces only. If you have a dip or bumps, the flooring will look really unpleasant, so it is advisable to level the ground before placing such tiles.
Material
So if you plan to purchase PVC (polyvinyl-chloride) tiles, you would be looking at a much flexible material that is also very strong and feels rubbery. This makes PVC tiles last much longer than the hard plastic ones. It may have a mild odor when you use it, but it tends to disappear after a few days.
The high-impact tiles are made from polypropylene copolymer that can sustain a great amount of weight and is easier to clean as substances don’t stick to it much. They also don’t emit any odor like the PVC tiles do.
If you plan to place them in an open trade show under the sun or have them exposed to direct sunlight, it is better to look for those tiles that offer UV protection. This would enhance the life of tiles and would prevent a slight discoloring of tiles in some instances.
Structure
Talking about thickness, the PVC tiles are half as thick as the high-impact polymer tiles. Considering the market average, you would find the polypropylene tiles to be half-inch thick white PVC to be one-quarter of an inch.
This accounts for the grid structure that the polypropylene tiles have underneath them. The structure was made to allow for air and water outflow to help prevent fungus formation.
If you know that the place would get wet quite often due to the climate or frequent car washes, the right option would be to go for polypropylene garage tiles.
But if you plan to use it more like a showroom, home gym, or a pool table room, where water is not heavily spilled, then PVC tiles would be a better choice. The lack of grid structure may mean that water and air outflow is a problem, but its anti-fatigue surface and sound insulation duly compensate for it.
Load Capacity
Nearly both garage tiles can bear the weight of vehicles, tables, and other heavy objects, but PVC tiles have comparatively more ability to withstand heavy weights. It is advisable to avoid placing pin-point objects on these tiles to prevent damage. If you’re using a car jack, it is best to place a plywood sheet in between to spread out the force.
Pattern of Surface
A diamond or coin pattern offers a good grip and tends to be very slip-resistant because of the friction created. Plain top PVC tiles may not offer much traction, even though the company might claim that its materials are slip-resistant. If you wish to have a good drainage system and want enhanced water and airflow, go for a perforated (free-low) design.
Size and Color Options
If you have a small to medium-sized garage, the polypropylene tiles’ dimensions give you enough room to be creative with your garage flooring. Smaller tiles mean that patterns and borders can be made easily. They are much suited for big garages and showrooms in PVC tiles if people are looking for customization. Otherwise, they can be placed in small garages as well.
You should also see whether that brand has other color tiles available that fit perfectly well with other tiles. More color options mean more customization options.
Resistance to Chemicals
Both the tiles can be cleaned easily if you spill oil or grease on them, and they are resistant to most household chemicals. PVC tiles, however, become more stained to rubber tire marks and chair bottoms. So you should consider these implications as well when buying PVC tiles.
